Wild Swim Fundraiser

Wild Swim Fundraiser

wild swimming group

This International women’s day, Monday 8 March, we are asking you to raise funds to support women survivors of Gender Based Violence by swimming in the sea, river or lake, taking a cold shower or bath or just donating.

This wild swimming fundraising event is organised by Anna Deacon, photographer and author of best-selling book on wild swimming, 'Taking the Plunge', who last year on International Women's Day organised a wild swimming fundraising event that saw wild swimming groups around the globe raise money to support local women’s charities. This year, we will be unable to gather in groups due to Coronavirus restrictions. However, you can still take part with one other person at a safe distance or with a member of your household, or just by having a cold shower or bath in your own home!

How to donate

All donations to MCFB as part of this fundraising event will be put towards paying for interpreting costs so that more women whose first language is not English can access vital practical and emotional support to rebuild their lives. Donations can be made here.

Happy swimming!
