Footprints from MCFB to Citadel
We are excited to announce a new partnership project with the Citadel Youth Centre designed to encourage more BME children to take part in youth groups held at the Leith based centre. The work is a continuation of MCFB's new 'Footprints' inclusion project that seeks to address the issue of inclusion of disadvantaged Black and Minority Ethnic children in mainstream youth provision.
This latest partnership between the Citadel Youth Centre and MCFB will provide a supported introduction to play and to creative activities through therapeutic group work sessions designed to develop children's confidence and social skills. Started in June 2017, the Footprints project received funding from City of Edinburgh Council for one year following a pilot partnership project with the Pilton Youth & Chidren's Project (PYCP).
The group will run on Mondays from 3.30-5pm at the Citadel Youth Centre, 175 Commercial Street, Edinburgh. Transport to the centre will be provided and sessions will be facilitated by staff from both agencies.
