A Bright Future

Our journey to Scotland began after many months of imprisonment in our own homes in Syria following the massacres and the siege.  Sustained by the dream of a bright future for our children, we travelled through neighbouring countries, escaping the sounds of conflict, protecting our children from the reality of war and entered through the doors of hope offered to refugees by the United Nations.

Social Integration Policy and the Third Sector

Dr Paulina Trevena from The University of Glasgow recently conducted a study exploring the benefits of introducing a social integration strategy for all migrants in Scotland. Multi-Cultural Family Base was part of a panel invited to contribute to the research. The full report can be read here.

What if...

This Saturday (weather permitting), we will be taking part in the ‘Leith Chooses’ event. Local people will be asked to choose which of a number of community initiatives should receive funding. If we secure enough votes, our Leith Wren’s Nest Project will provide a weekly support group for families whose children have a disability/additional support needs.
