Bringing about Change in the Lives of Potentially Excluded Learners through Mentoring.

This report, completed in July 2008, brings together reflections on a two-year pilot project ‘Facilitating Black and Minority Ethnic Students in to Social Work’. This project, which ran from January 2006 to December 2007 was funded by the South East Forum and led by the Open University in Scotland.

MCFB: A Unique Tapestry

MCFB: A Unique Tapestry’ is a mapping exercise compiled by Dina Sidhva, Service and Learning Manager with the assistance of all her colleagues at MCFB, on the occassion of the departures of the previous Manager Juanita Brown and Jo Thorne, Service and Learning Manager. It brings together views and experiences of MCFB as it has grown and developed since its inception in 1998 and aspirations for future development.

The Polish Family Project

From January to March 2007, MCFB, funded by Changing Children's Services Fund, ran a pilot project for Polish individuals and families affected by domestic violence and alcohol misuse. This is the report of the findings.
