Learning Opportunities

Previous students and tutors have commented on the broad range of learning opportunities available to students at MCFB. We aim to work with 60-70% black and minority ethnic service users, which gives students the opportunity to learn about cultural diversity. The work involves supporting families, individual and group work with children, with direction from an experienced group worker. There are opportunities to work in schools as part of joint ventures such as North East Working Together and English as an Additional Language Service. Through the links forged with the local children and families statutory team, students may be allocated Social Background Reports or other statutory reports for the Children's Hearing System.
