Friends of MCFB

Friends of MCFB has been set up by people in sympathy with the aims and values of MCFB and who are willing to help raise some extra funds for particular purposes.

Any money raised will only be used for purposes agreed between ‘Friends’ and MCFB's Chief Executive.

We need people who support MCFB's aims to help with planning and organising events, or just coming and bringing their friends. If you can help in any way please contact Friends of MCFB

Recent Fund-raising Events

The Curry Night at Raj on the Shore on 24th June 2009 was an enjoyable evening which raised a total of £316.55. Many thanks to all who came, put gifts in for the tombola or made donations.

Janice Gammie took part in the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run on 2nd May 2009, doing the 10k in 1 hour 1 minute and 46 seconds and raising £360 for Friends of MCFB.

On 18 December 2008 MCFB staff, Board members and students replaced their usual Seasonal Fare with a Soup-and-Bread Lunch (plus a delicious chocolate cake) which, including a tombola and donations, raised a total of £72.60.

In November 2008 a Curry Night at the Raj on the Shore raised a total of £479.20 which filled Santa's sack for the Early Years Xmas party, with every child receiving a specially chosen present.
