Practice Learning CurriculumMCFB aims to provide opportunities that will build upon previous experience to strengthen skills, knowledge and values. Support for students is provided through individual and group supervision. All students will become part of a group in the course of their placement, which will run for a period of between 7-10 weeks. The content of the practice curriculum may vary depending on the particular setting, but would include discussion of core topics such as Assessment, Child Observation and Methods of Intervention. In the student evaluation of group supervision, the main advantages of having a practice curriculum appear to be having a forum to share ideas and approaches alongside the provision of a supportive environment in which to try out new ideas. |
