4-2-7 Project

The 4–2–7 Project is for children aged between 4 and 7 years, who are experiencing difficulties in managing the transition from home/nursery to school, and may require extra support. Such difficulties could include: forming relationships and socialising with others, behavioural issues at school or low self-esteem and confidence. We aim to work with predominantly, but not exclusively, BME children and families. The project is open to BME children and families from across Edinburgh and White/Scottish families in the North of the city.

We will offer one-to one work with children at home or in school, work with families, parenting skills work, group work with children and work to improve home-school communication.

We have been able to start this project with funding from the Fairer Scotland Innovation Fund and are seeking additional funding to allow us to fully develop it.

The 4–2–7 Project aims are to promote children’s well-being and resilience and to help them achieve their full potential. If you think a child could benefit from this service you can contact us (details on the ‘contact us’ page) and we will arrange a visit to discuss further and see how the project can help.
